2021 SV Estate Shiraz - "Whole bunches (50%); matured for 12 months in French barriques (30% new). An excellent crimson ruby. This perfumed wine has aromas of dark berries, peonies, fennel seeds, white pepper and star anise, while the palate is medium bodied, concentrated and elegant. There would be no harm opening this now, with food, but all the components are here for this wine to age gracefully over the next six to eight years, if not longer." 2021 SV Grenache 'SB' - "Two grenaches were made in 2021 with the fruit for both coming off an 80-year-old vineyard in Blewitt Springs. The SD stands for Steve Brown, who did vintage at Lethbridge in 2021 and chose to destem the fruit and ferment on skins for just six days. Bright crimson purple, this is lifted with ripe, dark cherry fruit, cocoa nibs and a touch of violets. Ripe, velvety and persistent tannins round out a delish wine."
