2022 Edelweiss

Inspiration for our wines can come from many weird and wonderful places. The seed for this wine began at a family dinner early during the 2022 vintage. We had just tried an unusual Austrian white wine blend, and all of us were thrilled with the lively aromatics and wonderful texture. As I drove home that night, this wine started to form in my mind.

Winemaking Description: This wine is a blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris and a touch of Muskateller, made with judicious use of skin contact, spontaneous fermentation and lees aging. The wine is fruity and aromatic, with a delicate acid structure and a crystalline finish. The refreshment factor = sublime.

Tasting Notes:  The nose of this wine is reminiscent of walking in an alpine meadow on a crisp spring day; alpine flowers, mint, and wild herbs with racy acidity.
