97 / 99 Point Halliday Four Pack
2021 Mietta Pinot Noir - 'Estate grown and all MV6 from the oldest plantings at Lethbridge. Made with 100% whole bunches. Bright crimson. A serious wine with small red and black fruits, earth and mineral notes and hints of spice and black pepper from the whole bunches. And while the tannins feel as if they've been gently extracted, they're present, giving this complete wine the structure to improve over the next 10 years and probably longer.' 97 Points
2021 SV 'Bartl' Chardonnay - An estate wine from a single plot. Whole-bunch pressed and into new oak for fermentation and then matured in a mix of new and older French barriques. A bright green gold. With its aromas of white nectarine, hazelnuts, some savoury charcuterie notes and struck match, this is the Lethbridge chardonnay that fully lets its hair down. Energetic and fresh in the mouth, this is layered, structured and long, finishing with a refreshing touch of grip. Too good to spit, so I didn't.' 97 Points
2023 'Dr Nadeson' Riesling - Matured in older foudre. A very bright green gold. A slightly different but superb rendition of Henty Riesling. A penetrating nose with its core of citrus fruits, floral notes and crushed rock. There's a hint of sweetness, but this is essentially a dry wine, with mouth-tingling and invigorating acidity ensuring it's balanced and fresh. I liked this. A lot. 97 Points
2018 Botrytis Riesling TBA, Museum Release - Trockenbeerenauslese - indeed, one of the best examples of this style I have tasted. Orange-gold; extraordinarily rich and intense, the acidity not searing as so often is the case, just balancing the sublime concentration of dried and sugar-coated fruit. 99 Points
